Food at the Staples Center

The Staples Center is home to the NHL’s L.A. Kings and is located in downtown Los Angeles next to the convention center.  The Staples Center is also home to the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers of the NBA. No matter what game you might be going to see, the arena has plenty of menu options along the main concourse and throughout other areas of the venue.  Like at other arenas, you can always grab a hot dog, but you also have choices that include Ahi Poke Tuna Nachos, all sorts of tacos, turkey pastrami sandwiches, and chicken and pulled pork meals.  From the luxury suites to seats all around the arena, fans attending a Kings, Clippers, or Lakers game have plenty to choose from at the Staples Center.

Staples Center Eateries & Concession Stands

Fans looking to eat at the Staples Center don’t need to go far, no matter where they may be sitting.  There are spots to grab almost anything you can think of along the upper and main concourse of the arena.  Dave’s Doghouse, Goose Island, and Tap Haus are just a few of the options a few steps from your seat.  Salt & Char is the perfect spot to pick up burgers, shakes, chicken nuggets as well as vegetarian selections.  Interested in a slice to eat while you watch the game? Blaze Pizza has what you need on their menu. For beer lovers, there are plenty of choices on game night, too.  From Goose Island to the Budweiser Cooler to Golden Row Brew House, Kings, Clippers and Lakers fans won’t miss out when they are watching their team.

Classic Food at Staples Center

If you’re at a Los Angeles Kings game and want to eat as the locals do, there are several places in the arena with sushi on their menu.  What you should definitely need to try inside the Staples Center is a crispy chicken sandwich from Ludo Bird, which you can have with classic or spicy seasoning.  Tacos are something else you might not want to miss at Kings, Lakers, or Clippers games, and they come in a lot of varieties that you’ll see as you walk around the arena.  This includes Wahoo’s Tacos, which has chicken, fish, and steak offerings.  There are also a lot of vegetarian selections.  Be sure to take a tour of the upper and main concourse before you make a final decision.

Restaurants Near Staples Center

When you’re on your way to watch a Los Angeles Kings hockey game there are plenty of bars and restaurants near the Staples Center.  Yard House, on Olympic Blvd, is one good choice with plenty to choose from including American classics, tacos, and sandwiches.  For steak and a little more upscale location, try Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, also on Olympic Blvd.  No trip to Los Angeles is complete without trying some local Mexican, and El Cholo is a great place to visit any day of the week for tacos, nachos, and many authentic south-of-the-border items in a casual setting.  Most places in the city have vegetarian selections.
