Food at the SAP Center
The NHL’s San Jose Sharks play their home games at the SAP Center. Located in downtown San Jose on Santa Clara St., the arena opened in September of 1993 and has had several other tenants over the years. Nicknamed “The Shark Tank,” the SAP Center is a great spot for National Hockey League games and other events. An NHL game is always made better when there are great food and beverage options at the arena. If you’re at a San Jose Sharks game, and you’re looking for something tangy to try inside the SAP Center, look no further than Smoking Pig BBQ, which has burnt ends, pulled pork, chicken, and brisket on the menu. California is known for its Japanese cuisine and the SAP Center does not disappoint. Go to Sushi Confidential for rolls, poke tacos, chicken teriyaki bowls, and more. For an excellent selection of adult beverages, stop by the Corona Premier Ice Bar for cocktails, wine, and a selection of draft and canned beers. No matter what, NHL fans always have great choices when they take in a game at the arena.

The local restaurants and bars near SAP Center take good care of fans headed to San Jose Sharks hockey game. For Italian, try Paesano’s Pasta House Restaurant. If you’d like to grab some Mexican, La Casita Cantina & Restaurant is the place. For some Asian spice, there’s Chiangmai Thai Restaurant. Most if not all restaurants near the SAP Center offer vegetarian and other specific diet options for fans heading to a game at the arena. If you’re in town and have tickets to see the Sharks on the ice and want to eat before the game, head to the arena area early as places definitely fill up.
