Little Caesars Arena, located in downtown Detroit and home of the Detroit Red Wings, offers a lot of different dining options for sports fans, even with being named after a pizza industry giant. No matter where you are located in the seating area of the arena, you can grab everything from hot dogs to craft cocktails, and yes, Little Caesar’s pizza, too.  The area where the arena is located is referred to as District Detroit, a sports and entertainment complex that includes Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers,  and is a great spot to visit even on non-event days. The arena is a great venue for music, too, and has hosted Kid Rock and other major and local artists.  The arena replaced Joe Louis Arena in 2017, adding to the revitalization of Detroit. 

In addition to all of the available concession stands, there are four restaurants inside Little Caesars Arena (including Mike’s Pizza Bar, Sports & Social Detroit, and The District Market).  Social Detroit is a classic spot for sports fans, Mike’s Pizza Bar is a great place for flatbread pizzas and The District Market has amazing locally sourced ingredients.

The food at Little Caesars Arena is a combination of concession stands, pop-up booths and a handful of restaurants.  Chicken, grill items like hot dogs, french fries and burgers, as well as healthy options are all available.  This fairly new arena often rotates available food items as they determine what Detroit Red Wings fans look for at the venue.  Sports Social Detroit is a full service restaurant that’s great for dining before and during home games.  Detroit fans have come to know District Detroit as where their favorite teams play, so the area has a good buzz whether there are home games on a particular night or not.  From nachos topped with all the good stuff lie pico de gallo, to Irish sausages to popcorn to peanuts to of course, pizza, the arena has multiple concession spots for almost every kind of food offered, so you never have to venture far from your seat.

As the both play at Little Caesars Arena, fans of both the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons can enjoy some arena classics when they see either of the teams play.  The venue has great menu choices for pretzel and sausage lovers,  and fans can start with a Bavarian pretzel at Dearborn Sausage Haus on the Street Level Concourse located at PORTAL 17 and Dogs & Snacks on the upper concourse across PORTAL 21. For sausage at Little Caesars Arena fans should try the Sausage Haus is located across PORTAL 17 on the Street Level Concourse.

Food Near Little Caesars Arena

The creation of the District Detroit complex in Downtown Detroit has provided life for new restaurants in the area for people to visit before games.  Detroit sports fans coming to Little Caesars Arena in search of great menu items, can grab a quick bite or try a full-service restaurant in the area. Grey Ghost Detroit is a modern, hip spot with a menu that includes steaks,  beer, wine, and craft cocktails from the bar. Hockeytown Cafe, located on Woodward Avenue is a Detroit restaurant near Little Caesars Arena that has sports memorabilia from Red Wings greats and the menu includes great burgers and lighter fare.  For some delicious Asian choices, try Pho Lucky Detroit, also located on Woodward Avenue. As the area continues to evolve, new restaurants are popping up all the time near the arena, taking advantage of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Pistons all playing in the same overall complex.
